Abba The Museum

Tipsa en vän DreamStage and ABBA The Museum celebrate a successful premiere with thousands of people already having visited the museum. "The premiere night was a fantastic show and we all feel very happy now having completed this huge project with so many positive reactions.", says Kenneth Häggmark, CTO DreamStage.

In 2012 ABBA The Museum and DreamStage partnered up to develop interactive applications. Since then, DreamStage has been developing and refining experiences that are now ready for the public.

The museum is unique in its kind in Sweden as the visitors themselves can try out many of the elements that it takes to be a world artist. Visitors can experience being on stage, dance, sing, record music videos as the 5th ABBA member and mix songs in Tretow Mixing Challenge where visitors can test their ear. The newest addition is the Dressing Room, a virtual fitting room where you see yourself in ABBA's classic clothing from the 70's on a 75" virtual mirror where a well-dressed “ABBAtar” follow your movements. “We feel positive about that museums and exhibitions of various kinds are increasing their degree of interactivity.” says Kenneth Häggmark, CTO DreamStage. “We believe it is important that there is a good balance between observing and interacting to fit as many visitors as possible, everyone has different needs and interests. Advancements in virtual reality, 3D graphics, augmented reality and natural user interfaces are happening every day and opportunities to invent new kinds of interactive experiences emerge, this is something we love to work with.” he continues.

“Opening Day has finally arrived, but DreamStage’s work does not stop here. DreamStage and ABBA The Museum will continuously expand and innovate experiences to make the museum into a living space. We hope that our part in this project will provide many laughs and happy memories!” says Kristian Svensson, CD DreamStage
